The Unseen Side of Pakistan

When somebody who is not the citizen of Pakistan, hears the word “Pakistan”, the first thing that comes in their mind is ‘terrorism’. The reason is that Pakistan has lost its reputation since the last decade due to unrest of law and order situation of the country. Thankfully, the uncontrolled beast of terrorism has been put under great stress by Pakistan Army after they conducted several military operations on terrorists. According to a report by Global Terrorism Index, terror incidents have declined in Pakistan. Pakistan, which was ranked fourth on the terrorism index, now ranks fifth.  Government statistics show 70% downfall of terrorism in Pakistan. These statistics have attracted investors to invest in the growing market of Pakistan. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is a megaproject of network of highways connecting the Gwadar Port to China-Pakistan border in the north of Pakistan. This project is worth $63 billion. Such huge investment by Pakistan’s neighboring friend China marks the peace and stability in Pakistan.

Pakistan is not as bad in reality as people think of it to be. Pakistanis are very much passionate about the game of cricket. It is their love for cricket that brought international cricket back to Pakistan after a terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team back in 2009. Improved law and order situation of the country is also a key factor in enabling Pakistanis to enjoy international cricket in their own stadiums. Pakistan also won the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 held in England and Wales.
Being located in South Asia, Pakistan is rich in culture and heritage. Pakistan has four provinces and each of them have separate culture, language and customs.
